We designed this house for a family who decided to move out of the city to be closer to nature. The building is located in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine on the bank of the Southern Bug river. The aesthetic concept of the project was dictated by the picturesque landscape. We decided to integrate the building into the surroundings as much as possible.

Мы спроектировали этот дом для семьи, которая решила перебраться из города жить на природу. Дом находится в Винницкой области, в живописной местности на берегу реки Южный Буг. Именно красота окружающего пейзажа продиктовала эстетику строения и его максимальную интеграцию в среду.
ARCHITECTURE
The biggest challenge for us was the short term of a project. It took 11 months from the foundation pouring to moving the family into their new home. It is a huge amount of work to build a cast-in-place concrete frame building with all technical difficulties, furnish it, and prepare it for a full life. It seemed barely real to complete it in such a short period, but we managed to do it with the assistance of our partners.
The building stays on the hill, and it is turned to the river. The entrance is arranged to let the person get through it directly to the terrace. The facade that looks toward the river hill has a full glazing that opens the most picturesque view to the land and water.
The house is functionally divided into two wings. The Eastern part contains living spaces, a kitchen, and a wardrobe, Western wing has a SPA zone and a pool. In the middle of the house, there is an atrium where a family oak tree is growing. The main space of the whole interior is a living room.

Одним из главных челленджей проекта стали сроки: от заливки фундамента до заселения хозяев прошло 11 месяцев. Построить монолитно-каркасный дом со всеми техническими сложностями, оборудовать его и подготовить для жизни – большой объем работы. В самом начале пути срок казался нереальным, но благодаря сплоченной работе всех подрядных организаций нам удалось вложиться в него.
Строение находится на холме и развернуто к реке Южный Буг. Входная группа организована так, чтобы можно было транзитом пройти на открытую террасу. Фасад направленный к склону имеет сплошное остекление, сквозь которое открывается живописный вид на участок и водоем.
Дом функционально разделен на два крыла. Восточное вмещает жилые комнаты, кухню и гардеробную, а в западном находятся SPA-зона и бассейн. Посередине сформирован атриум для семейного дерева, в котором посажен многолетний дуб. Ключевым пространством всего интерьера стала гостиная.
There is a roomy terrace positioned at the perimeter of the building. It has a relaxing zone with lounges, a dining zone, and a small garden with trees and bushes established as an enfilade above the lawn grass.

По периметру дом окружает просторная терраса. На ней есть пляжная зона отдыха с шезлонгами, обеденная зона и также небольшой анфиладный мини садик с деревьями, кустарниками и газонной травой.
The building is turned southwards and it was important to create solid sun protection to let sunbeams enter to the rooms in winter and not allow them to blind and heat the space during summertime. Partly the construction of the first floor that has an extra width works on it. In all other parts, we installed a sun protection system.

Дом повернут на юг, и важно было продумать эффективную защиту от солнца, чтобы в зимнее время его лучи проникали в помещение, а летом не слепили и не нагревали пространство внутри. Частично эту задачу выполняет вынос конструкции второго этажа, на остальных участках установлена солнцезащитная система Manezh.
The interior of the house is directed by functional needs. Every element there is caused by inner logic, there is almost no decoration in the rooms. Whole communications are integrated into the Smart House system. Such an approach reflects the house owners’ personalities as rational people who effectively plan their life and prefer modern technological solutions.
Bedrooms there feel like high-level hotel rooms. They are thoughtfully comfortable and emotionally neutral. Calm grey and beige color pallette enlarge the warm shade of the nutwood. The most significant decorative accent is the green frame of live plants on the corbel around the glass banister on the first floor.

Интерьер дома подчинен функциональным задачам, каждый элемент в нем обоснован внутренней логикой, декор практически отсутствует. Все коммуникации интегрированы в систему “Умный дом”. Такой подход отражает личности хозяев дома – рациональных людей, умеющих эффективно планировать свою жизнь и ориентированных на технологичные решения.
Жилые комнаты в доме напоминают апартаменты хорошего отеля: комфортные, продуманные, эмоционально нейтральные. Спокойную серо-бежевую гамму дополняет теплый оттенок тонированного ореха. Одним из декоративных акцентов интерьера является озеленение, вынесенное на консоль вокруг стеклянных перил второго этажа.
INTERIOR DESIGN
The pendant Focus fireplace is suspended from the 6-meters high ceiling in the living room. Above the fireplace, we hung up the lamp from numerous brass tubes which reminds the traditional Chinese décor Wind Chime. This lamp is a custom object we created for the house and checked that pipes did not make any sound tangency with each other.

В гостиной с потолка высотой шесть метров спущен подвесной камин Focus. Над ним мы расположили светильник из латунных трубок, напоминающий традиционный китайский декор «Музыка ветра». Этот светильник мы создали специально для проекта и позаботились о том, чтобы трубки не звенели, соприкасаясь.
The biggest challenge from the engineering point was building the 16-miter long pool partly goes outside the building. The house is located in the continental climate zone where the year temperature difference reaches 60°C. The pool is designed for using it during whole seasons. The goal of our team of engineers was to arrange water heating and circulation in a way it would not be any temperature change when you get to the outside part of a pool or coming back. The outside end of the pool is made from glass to allow the swimmer to admire the landscape from the water.

Технологически сложным челленджем для нас стал 16-ти метровый бассейн с заплывом на улицу. Дом находится в умеренно континентальном климатическом поясе, где годовая разница температур составляет до 60°C. Бассейном можно пользоваться круглогодично. Задачей команды инженеров было настроить подачу и нагрев воды таким образом, чтобы не было температурного перепада, когда ты выплываешь из помещения в открытое пространство и возвращаешься назад. Торец бассейна выполнен из стекла, чтобы, находясь в воде, можно было любоваться пейзажем.
The gazebo on the hill is a spatial place to stay alone, meditate, and contemple nature. It lets you feel like floating above the river. You can get there from the terrace by passing over the 15-miters bridge.

Для максимального уединения, медитации и погружения в созерцание природы существует специальное место – беседка, приподнятая над склоном. Она позволяет ощутить себя парящим над обрывом. Попасть в нее можно с террасы, пройдя по 15-метровому мосту.
“When we first came to this land, it mesmerized us. We wanted to stay there, open a bottle of wine, and enjoy how the sun dawns above the river and sets in the forest. That is why we name the project Vin House.” –
